...and added fuel to the fire. A few weeks back BP CEO Tony Hayward, decided to take a break from the hectic world of oil spills to sail in the waters off his native land of England. This sparked a storm of protest from oil soaked Americans from coast to coast (take note that most oil soaked Americans live on the Gulf Coast...and Alaska. DRILL BABY DRILL!!!!). How very dare he folks? How dare Tony Hayward take a vacation on his yacht that he paid for with the money he rightly earned as the CEO of a successful company. Ok enough of the beating around the bush nonsense. Here's my point.
My point: It's his yacht. Why should we care what he does with his yacht. Sure it was insensitive of him to go sailing in the middle of this crisis but this is by no means a reason for us to practically crucify the man. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this America? This is the same country where it's ok for a man to work hard to get to the top and show off about it, right? So what if he went sailing in his super cool looking yacht (I like boats), it is still HIS boat. The man can do whatever he wants with HIS boat. Why, you ask?
well because...
I agree, complete over reaction. It's not like he personally blew the well...he has professionals taking care of it there's not much more he can do
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!!! It wasn't really his fault. People need to stop being so obsessed with finding just one person to blame.
