RIP

On Monday September 14, 2009, one of my favorite actors of all time lost his battle with cancer.

Patrick Swayze got me interested in ballroom dancing long before Dancing with the Stars came around. Patrick Swayze showed me how far true love would go, even crossing the Great Divide of Death. His movies opened a portal through which I escaped the dull monotony that was on occassion my life.

I knew he had terminal cancer. What I didn't know was how close he was to dying. I honestly thought that with the proper treatment he could have at least made it to the New Year. I wish he could have but unfortunately he did not.

I am just a fan. I did not know him nor did I ever meet him.However, as a fan I have to say, Patrick you and your movies helped me to see so much about life.Thanks for your work and for your time spent with us via the movie screen.
